Worship

Whether you’ve been attending church for years or you’re walking through our doors for the very first time, you are welcome here.

Our worship is rooted in the Episcopal tradition while speaking to people today. We gather to pray, sing, listen to Scripture, celebrate Holy Communion, and encourage one another as we seek to follow Jesus together.

If you’ve never been to an Episcopal church before, don’t worry—you won’t be expected to know what to do. Simply come as you are and follow along with the congregation. We’ll guide you through the service.

What to Expect

A typical Sunday service lasts about an hour.

When you arrive, one of our greeters will welcome you and hand you a service bulletin that contains everything you’ll need to participate. Before worship begins, many people spend a few quiet moments praying or reflecting.

During the service, you’ll experience:

  • Music led by our musicians, choir, or praise band
  • Readings from the Bible
  • A sermon connecting Scripture with everyday life
  • Prayers for the church, our community, and the world
  • A time to greet one another with Christ’s peace
  • Holy Communion

You’ll notice that people stand, sit, or kneel at different points in the service. You’re welcome to participate as you feel comfortable, or simply remain seated and observe.

Holy Communion

We believe that Christ is truly present in the bread and wine we share together. You are invited to come forward during Communion. If you would like to receive the bread and wine, simply hold out your hands to receive the bread. If you prefer not to receive Communion, you are welcome to come forward with your arms crossed over your chest to receive a blessing instead.

Children are welcome to receive Communion according to their family’s practice.

What Should I Wear?

Whatever makes you comfortable.

On any given Sunday you’ll see everything from jeans and T-shirts to dresses and jackets. There is no dress code. Come as you are.

Children

Children are always welcome in worship.

We know that children wiggle, whisper, laugh, and occasionally make noise—and that’s okay. Their presence is a gift to our community.

Sunday School is offered during our main Sunday service. Children begin worship with their families before leaving for age-appropriate learning and returning later in the service.

Our Sunday Services

Our 10:00am Sunday service and combines the richness of Episcopal tradition with a variety of musical styles. You’ll hear organ, piano, choir, and contemporary instruments such as guitar and drums. This service includes Holy Communion and Sunday School for children.

Worship Throughout the Year

Throughout the year we celebrate the great seasons and holy days of the Christian faith, including Advent, Christmas, Lent, Holy Week, Easter, Pentecost, All Saints’ Day, and the Blessing of the Animals. These special services help us remember God’s story and our place within it, and each has its own unique traditions and atmosphere.

Check our calendar for upcoming worship services and special events.

We’d love to welcome you this Sunday.
