Partnership Make Stronger Communities

Members of St. Paul’s support many ministries in the Reno/ Sparks community. These ministries are outward visible signs of our inward spiritual grace. Some of those minisitries include, the Eco-Palians, the Pride Committee and Daughters of the King. Many of our congregation members have also supported the work of the Community Food Pantry! The Community Food Pantry has operated as its own 501c3 out of our building since 2013. We are grateful our building can serve as a place of gathering and sustenance for so many in this community. Recently one of our Vestry Members and Pantry Volunteers, Elyse Monroy, worked with Our Center, Northern Nevada’s LGBTQ Community Center, to establish a partnership for ongoing programming to support Our Center’s unhoused neighbors with food assistance.

The mission of the Community Food Pantry is to nourish and serve those most in need in our community with compassion, dignity, and action. They have worked for years to expand what they call their ‘food-print’ into the Reno/ Sparks community, and to that end, this new partnership with Our Center helps the Pantry’s mission reach a new community. Partnerships like those between the Pantry and Our Center are outward visible signs of how grace, and love for your neighbor can build a strong and vibrant community…and for that, today, we rejoice!
