About Us

From the Vestry

If you have spent anytime seeking a worshiping community to grow in your spiritual development, you will have noticed that all churches or not the same.  Their traditions and prayers are different. Their buildings and style of worship are different. Some focus on having the right answers and others focus more on the importance of asking the right questions, even if the answer is “We don’t know.” You may have even noticed that their understanding of the nature of God (including Jesus and the Holy Spirit) are different too.

We think it is important that everyone find the right place for them during their current stage of spiritual development.

If you are looking for a community where you can be yourself, come as you are, and feel like you belong, then St. Paul’s might just be a good fit.

We invite you to try us out for three or four weeks.  One Sunday is not really enough to experience the nuances of community. During that time, we encourage you to ask questions. Please contact the church office at 775-358-4474, to make an appointment with a member of the Vestry.

We look forward to meeting you.

From Our Rector

Whether you are exploring faith for the first time, returning after time away, or looking for a spiritual home in the Reno–Sparks community, you are welcome here. St. Paul’s is a place where people gather to pray, ask honest questions, serve our neighbors, and grow in love for God and one another. Our worship centers on the beauty of the Episcopal tradition, the Holy Eucharist, and the belief that God’s grace is wide enough to hold all of us.

We are a community of people at many different stages of life and faith, and we believe that every person who walks through our doors brings a gift to share.

If you are visiting our website for the first time, I hope you will consider joining us for worship on Sunday morning at 10:00am or emailing to introduce yourself: rector@stpaulssparks.org. I would love to meet you.

Peace,

The Rev. Hannah Wilder
Rector, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church
