Celebrating God’s Good Creation

On Creation Care Sunday, June 14, St. Paul’s came together to give thanks for the beauty and wonder of God’s creation and to renew our commitment to care for the earth we share.

Our worship invited us to pray, reflect, and take action through interactive prayer stations that focused on water, soil, plants, animals, and our shared responsibility as stewards of creation. Children and adults alike explored simple ways to live more gently on the earth, while members of our Eco-palians ministry shared resources and ideas for caring for our common home. Deacon Mike Margerum, retired, preached a sermon about simple practices we can all do to take care of the earth, and appreciate it. He even taught us a very complicated prayer! Ask him about it: mgoodmarge@gmail.com.

Creation Care Sunday reminded us that caring for the earth is not just an environmental issue—it is a spiritual practice. Every act of gratitude, conservation, and compassion reflects our love for the Creator and for our neighbors, both now and for generations to come.

We are grateful for everyone who helped make the day possible and for the growing commitment within our parish to love and protect God’s beautiful creation.

Thanks be to God for another reason to rejoice!
